Alicia Maciel, MBA

With over fifteen years of experience in business planning and development, training, marketing, sales, and finance, Alicia is founder and principal consultant of On the RISE Corporation.  Her diverse background, extensive corporate and entrepreneurial experience, coupled with an undergraduate degree in business administration from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School, provides her with the technical knowledge and experience that qualifies her as a leading expert at the top of her field. 

Alicia’s corporate experience includes serving as senior business planner for Walt Disney Company, a financial accountant for Chevron Corporation, as well as providing consulting and training services to KRAFT FOODS, UCI Medical Center and Creative Memories Corporation among many other start-up, small, and mid-size businesses in Orange County.

A sought after and accomplished presenter, Alicia has served as a guest speaker, trainer, and facilitator at seminars and conventions nationwide.  For Walt Disney Company and Chevron Corporation she served as a company spokesperson, conducting Spanish television community service announcements and radio interviews and promotions.

Born in Mexico, at the age of seven Alicia and her family immigrated to California.  Through her unwavering commitment and determination, Alicia has demonstrated a capacity to utilize change as the gateway to personal, academic and professional advancement.  Alicia stands out for her keen ability to identify opportunities, relate to others, and inspire them to want to be their best.  She is passionate about demonstrating how management innovation and social enterprise is a powerful change agent for society. 

In 2007 Alicia was recognized as Member of the Year by the Orange County chapter of the National Latina Business Women Association for her countless volunteer hours in support of Latina entrepreneurs.  As a strong promoter of education for adolescent girls, Alicia is an active supporter of the annual Adelante Girls Conference at Santa Ana College.
